original text:
"Harlekin's Heirath" appears both with and without
the apostrophe; similarly "Moeser's Leben" in the
footnote.
"Funfzehnter" has no umlaut; "Siebenzehnter" is
written that way.
"jetzt" is usually but not always written as "itzt".
The printed book is in Fraktur ("Gothic") type. Four
foreign words or phrases are in Roman type and are
denoted in this transcription by being placed
