La gloria di chel che movi dut al fa
luzìnt in tal univers a penetra
cun lus pì intensa chì e mancu là.
Tal cjèl, 'ndà che pì da la so lus vi'èntra,
i'er'jò, e contà li robis chi'ai jodùt
nol sa ne'l pol chel che jù'l ven da parzòra;
pars'ch'al so desidèj fazìnsi visinùt,
il nustr'intelèt a si sprofonda tant
che il recuardàsi'n davòu'l resta dut.
Ma almancu di chel tant di stu post sant
chi'ai podùt ta la me mins fa tesoru,
i faràj adès materiàl dal me cjant.
O Apòl me bon, di st'ultin lavoru
da la to virtùt fa chi sedi un sì gran vàs
da meretà l'oràr, pal poèt dut òru.
Fin a stu punt l'ajùt chi'ai vut dal Parnàs
mi'a bastàt, ma adès jùdimi pur tu
a contà cun onòu la storia daj beàs.
Tal me pet èntra e ispirimi tu
cussì coma cuant che Marsia sfoderàt
da la natura[11] dal so cuàrp ti'as tu.[1]
O valòu divìn, si ti mi vens prestàt
chel tant che l'imàgin finuta dal beàt regn
figurà i pòsi, che'n mins mi'a restàt,
rivà i ti m'jodaràs al to mièj len[2]
e coronàmi alòr cun che fuèjs
che la matèria'e tu i mi parèjs degn.
