Quoique la partie comique de cette pièce appartienne tout entière à
Shakspeare, il est encore redevable de son sujet à Bandello. Nous y
retrouvons cette ressemblance extraordinaire de deux personnes dont
Plaute s'est plus d'une fois servie pour le noeud de ses comédies, et
que Shakspeare lui a déjà empruntée dans ses _Méprises_.
